Some Quick Tips for your Website and Google my Business Listing

If your business has been affected by COVID-19 you can update your Google My Business listing and website and give your customers updates on your business:

  • update your business hours if these have changed
  • let your customers know if your business services are experiencing delays
  • add a COVID-19 update post
  • edit your business description if you are providing extra services
  • mark your business ‘temporarily closed’ (this won’t affect local search ranking – if you’re offering delivery or pick up services don’t mark business temporarily closed or it won’t show on Google or Maps. )

For Websites – as well as changing opening hours or adding new services you can

  • add a banner at the top of your homepage to keep customers updated eg we are open for business (see https://mackaycakes.com.au or https://stickersandsigns.com.au)

The main point is to keep your customers informed so they know what’s going on with your business.
